Glasses, frames and lenses
Your prescription is yours.
Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting, and you can fill it anywhere. If you choose to have your glasses made through us, the ophthalmic assistant fits and adjusts them.
We carry independent frames in metal, acetate and titanium, in shapes from round to rectangular.
What we help you choose
Frame shape and fit
Bridge, temple length and the width of your face decide how a frame sits.
Lens material
Standard, thinner for stronger prescriptions and impact-resistant for children.
Coatings
Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant and blue light filtering, with what each does and does not do.
Single vision, bifocal and progressive
One lens for distance, or lenses for near and far in one.
Children's pairs
Spring hinges and soft nose pads, fitted with the child in the room.
Repairs and adjustments
Nose pads, screws and bent temples, usually while you wait.
Billing and what to bring
Vision plan
Glasses and frames may be covered up to your plan's allowance. We check before you order.
Medical insurance
Medical insurance does not usually cover glasses. Medicare does not cover routine glasses, with a few exceptions.

About eyewear
Can I buy glasses somewhere else?
Yes. Your prescription is yours, and we give you a copy after every exam.
Do you carry frames in many styles?
We carry independent frames and say what they are made of, so you can compare them for fit and wear.
How much will this cost?
It depends on the visit and on your plan. How fees work explains which part a vision plan pays, which part medical insurance pays and what you pay yourself, and we give a written estimate in advance.
